Dear Friend of Our Family and Ministry.
Thank you for your prayers! For the first time in eight months, Michael's blood counts are all normal! When the doctor told him and I, Michael started laughing and crying for joy. I jumped up and shouted "Thank You Jesus! Thank You Jesus!"
His white blood count (ANC) had been at zero for weeks. This was so dangerous for him...and so vexing to all of us. The doctors had to suspend his chemo, and he had to be virtually quarantined at all times. It was hard on him and our whole family.
But yesterday - thank you Lord! - the blood test showed his ANC at 2,700! (This has a HUGE leap.) And ALL other parts of his blood are in the normal range.
So today - for the first time in eight months - the four boys celebrated by going swimming together! What a joyful blessing.
He has begun his chemo again, and hopefully - with your prayers - his blood counts will be stable for a while, so that he can receive the treatment that is so vital for his life.
I thank you with all my heart for your prayers for this brave young man. Please pray that his body hangs in there for this next wave of chemo, and that his blood counts stay within a safe range.
Again, I thank you, and ask God's blessing on you and yours.
